FORT WASHINGTON -- Germantown Academy's field house hosted 15 teams on Jan. 31 for the final GA Shot Put Invitational of the 2023-24 season. Over 90 throwers took part in the competition.

Girls Highlights

• Layla Gentile '25 took second place with a throw of 36' 7.75". She was the top finisher among juniors.
• Brynn Sweeney '26 took seventh place with a 28' 2.75年“扔.
• Farihah Kemp '25 recorded a throw of 24' 9.5".
• Jules Yahav '26 (20' 11.75"), Evans Eliza '26 (20' 7.25"), and Anna Houston '26 (15' 8.75") recorded personal bests.

Boys Highlights

• NYU-commit Mario Toscano '24 finished fifth out of 52 throwers with a personal-best 45' 5" toss.
• Brandon Truszkowski '26 just missed the cut for the final round, but recorded a 40' 6" throw.
• Harrison Peet '27 (25' 5.5"), Ronit Banga '27 (24' 4"), Noah Garretson '27 (24' 1"), and Hugo Simonetti '26 (22") all recorded personal bests.
