Position Title: Auxiliary Programs Associate 

Germantown Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school located on a beautiful 126-acre campus in the Fort Washington suburbs near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school serves more than 1,200 students in grades PK-12. Founded in 1759, GA is America’s oldest non-sectarian day school with rich traditions and a strong commitment to ongoing innovation of curricular and pedagogical practices.

Position Purpose: The Auxiliary Programs Associate will support all aspects of the Auxiliary Programs department which operates year-round revenue generating programs in support of Germantown Academy.  This is a full-time12-month position with school year hours of 7:30am-3:30pm and summer hours of 8am-4pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • School Store
    • Assist in ad hoc stocking, cleaning, and organization of the store and storage room daily.
    • Provide friendly and professional customer service.
    • Assist with satellite sales of merchandise during special events.
    • Provide short-term coverage for the store manager in their absence.
  • Summer Programs
    • Maintain HR files for all camp employees with signed contracts, updated clearances, performance reviews.
    • Assist with interviews, staff orientation, camp fairs, and camp tours.
    • Field parent phone calls & emails regarding camp offerings and procedures.
    • Design camp newsletters, manage camp attendance records, and run weekly reports.
    • Work the summer programs office during camp season and complete tasks assigned by the Assistant Operations Director.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Occasional coverage in SPARK after school program during full-day SPARK days
  • Willingness to work Patriot Café to cover PTO/sick days.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of auxiliary programs.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant work experience
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Retail experience preferred with focus on Point-of-Sale software
  • Experience working with parents and children
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Proactive attitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
